I had a dream

joe and i went to his favorite restaurant. it was a quesadilla joint. i had chicken and cheese. i'm not too sure what he got. as we ate, we strolled down a winding country road and noticed a large group of people standing on the opposite side of the road. getting closer we notice a very large man holding a very large gun has a group of people held hostage. we stop to watch. seems like a good idea right? he starts shooting random people then drops the gun and takes off running. being the very large man that he is, he doesn't get too far before he is captured by the police.

we continue walking down the road which terminates in a soccer stadium...in england. naturally, we reach in our pockets and pull out our tickets to find our seats. we have a seat and notice the pitch is completely under water. a lot of water. the two teams take the field. in order to play on the flooded field, the teams have shoes that allow them to float along with floating goals. the ball is a giant checkered rugby type ball that also floats. after watching several minutes of the game and seeing how poorly both teams are playing we realize that both teams are american. one from maine, the other i'm not sure about. i do remember the person behind me kept referring to the maine team as being from delaware. that really bothered me so i turned around and gave them the evil eye.

half time came and so did the september 11th memorial. large foam cut-outs of US military weaponry floated around the stadium and god bless america played over the public address system. all of our british friends sang along.

finally i woke to a fat cat standing on my pillow and licking my ear. that part wasn't a dream though.
